Achieve More - $10 Million Campaign

Empowering Students, Building Strong Communities

How Junior Achievement Will Impact More Students:

Launch JA’s Learning Center in Newark, OH

  • JA’s new Learning Center will open in early 2025, providing JA BizTown, JA Finance Park, JA Inspire, and in-the-classroom programming to more communities.

Enhance and expand elementary, middle, and high school student engagement

  • The campaign's early stages allowed JA to renovate its Learning Center in Columbus. These renovations enhanced JA BizTown, designed for elementary students, improved safety, and created an engaging and inspiring environment.
  • JA Finance Park is a new addition to the JA Learning Center in Columbus. It is designed to engage thousands of middle school students every year.
  • JA Inspire is a new program that engages thousands of high school students. It is an innovative job fair that acts as another touchpoint after JA Finance Park and JA BizTown, empowering students to explore their interests, future career opportunities, and local employers.

About JA Learning Centers

Junior Achievement of Central Ohio has two Learning Centers, one in Columbus and another opening in Newark in 2025. These Learning Centers house JA BizTown, JA Finance Park, and enable the implementation of in the classroom programs in surrounding areas. At JA BizTown fifth-grade students complete a four-week economics curriculum before visiting JA’s Learning Center, where they make important decisions for their businesses and town, connecting classroom learning to the real world. JA Finance Park educates middle and high school students on personal financial planning and career exploration. The program includes classroom lessons and a visit to JA Finance Park, where volunteers help students learn about career options and manage their monthly expenses using an assigned Life Profile.
