Recently, Meta New Albany Data Center announced a grant to Junior Achievement of Central Ohio to bring new programming to students through a data center replica storefront in its BizTown. Community programs like this are important to invest in students' experiences as they explore potential careers. Current Meta team member Bratati Lynn, site lead construction manager at New Albany Data Center, shares why she believes in supporting Junior Achievement:

“I was an exceptional math and science student in school; however, as a shy girl, being the “nerd” was uncool. I was in the 10th grade when a teacher suggested that I join Junior Achievement as an opportunity for me to challenge myself in areas that traditional classes could not.

I was fortunate to be on a team with supportive adults who encouraged me to use the skills I already had and gain public speaking skills. Their example created a culture where my team and I felt empowered.

This experience helped me find the courage to dream bigger and the confidence to pursue my ambitions of running construction projects. In addition, Junior Achievement awarded me a scholarship to the Dale Carnegie Development Course. This amazing experience, as a 15-year-old, allowed me to develop skills I still use today. I am convinced that Junior Achievement was pivotal in setting the trajectory of my professional life and career at Meta.”

Thank you to Junior Achievement for your impact on central Ohio students and to Bratati Lynn for sharing her JA story!
