Individual Volunteer Opportunities

When students connect with caring adults who share real-life experiences, they begin to see possibilities they may have never imagined. These meaningful interactions help students envision their own paths forward and make informed, intentional choices about their futures.

As an individual volunteer, you’ll bring JA programs to life by showing students how classroom concepts apply in the real world. Through engaging, hands-on activities, you’ll guide them as they explore ideas, test new skills, and build the confidence to take on what’s next.

As an individual volunteer, you can participate as a:

  • JA Classroom Volunteer: JA classroom volunteers lead JA-developed lesson plans that teach financial literacy, work readiness, and entrepreneurship in K-12 classrooms. After being matched to a classroom and attending training, you will deliver engaging, easy-to-follow lessons infused with your unique experiences.
  • JA Finance Park Volunteer: Volunteers spend the day in a JA Finance Park® simulation where they will help a small group of students create a personal financial plan.
  • Career Speaker: Help students discover new careers and career paths by participate in a JA hosted school event. Volunteers talk to students about their career and the journey to get there.
  • Special Events: Volunteers help facilitate one of our annual special events such as our Annual Golf Classic, JA Inspire, Career Days and other program events.
  • In-Office/Administrative: Volunteers can help in our offices for short- or long-term projects
