JA Finance park® – entry level (Grades 7 & 8)
JA Finance Park® is an immersive program designed to provide middle and high school students with essential financial literacy and career exploration skills. Through a combination of classroom instruction and hands-on simulation, students learn to make informed financial decisions that will benefit them throughout their lives.
JA Finance Park® is offered at both the Columbus and Newark Learning Centers, providing students across Central Ohio with the tools and knowledge to navigate their financial futures confidently.
JA Finance Park – Entry-Level Overview

JA Career Adventures® (Grades 6-8)
JA Career Adventures® encourages students to think about what and who they want to be when they grow up. Through highly engaging digital programs, JA Career Adventures teaches students important financial literacy concepts while helping them create their own Venn Diagram of Personality, Skills, Interests, and Values. They learn that the intersection of these four circles will direct them to their Happy Place: a successful and rewarding career.
This is a program delivered in the classroom by an educator.

JA Career Speaker Series® (Grades 6-8)
JA Career Speakers Series® is a program where a volunteer guest speaker visits the classroom and shares their educational and career journey. The speaker may bring props, work samples, or other visuals to help engage students.
For middle school students, to ensure consistency, we have pre-made a Google Slides template for each volunteer that matches a worksheet the students will use to take notes and “rate” each job.

JA Career Speaker Series Overview

JA Career CONVERSATIONS® (Grades 6-8)
JA Career Conversations (Grades 6-8) is a program that includes a workbook and a curriculum guide for 64 jobs across 16 career clusters. Each lesson features a video, an activity, and information about job interests, required education, growth outlook, and salary ranges. Students receive a workbook to take notes and rate each job. At the end of the program, they will identify their “Top Two Rated Jobs” for further research and reflection, ultimately focusing on one for a capstone project. Teachers will use a rubric to evaluate these projects.

JA Economics for Success® helps students develop career readiness and personal finance skills. They explore career interests, recognize the importance of self-awareness in making informed choices, and understand the role of post-high school education and income in achieving their goals. The program emphasizes the development of transferable skills and teaches students about managing expenses and prioritizing personal financial needs.
This program is delivered in the classroom by an educator or volunteer.

JA It’s My Business!® (Grades 6-8)
JA It’s My Business!® offers students the chance to learn how to transform an idea into a business. The program introduces students to design thinking as a problem-solving approach and provides a genuine entrepreneurial experience. Each session is designed to build towards a product-pitch competition.
This program is delivered in the classroom by an educator, and, at the end, volunteers come to the school for the pitch competition.

JA It’s My Future® (Grades 6-8)
JA It’s My Future® offers students practical information to help prepare them for the working world. Students explore career resources to develop the job-hunting skills needed to secure a job.
